Part 3/8:
A B-Movie Fiesta with Big Ideas
Primitive War is unapologetically cheesy. It knows its budget constraints and embraces its low-budget status with humor and confidence. The CGI, while not on par with Hollywood blockbusters, manages to deliver impressive dinosaur designs—feathers and all—making the creatures surprisingly believable within the film’s context.
The action sequences are extravagantly staged, with bloody, visceral combat that adds a satisfying grit to the chaos. The film doesn't shy away from gore—limbs are torn apart, explosions are frequent, and the carnage is gleefully over the top. These sequences utilize the claustrophobic Vietnam setting creatively, elevating the tension and making the dinosaurs’ threat feel immediate and real.
