Part 5/13:
A major point of contention is the series’ premise: a prequel set before the original Alien film. Fans originally anticipated an exploration of the origins of the Xenomorphs, but the execution has felt lacking. Instead of focusing on genuine horror and the mysterious lifecycle of the aliens, the series trivializes their threat, rendering them as disposable obstacles. The show diminishes what made the Xenomorphs terrifying— their speed, strength, and deadly acid spray— and replaces it with clichés like decapitations using a paper cutter and oversized villainous undertones.
