Part 7/13:
The motivations of corporations, scientists, and military personnel are all muddled, with some characters seemingly acting without logic or consequence. There's a bizarre focus on superficial expository dialogue, with characters explaining things they clearly observe with their own eyes to the audience, highlighting lazy writing. Certain scenes, like the alien disguising as a fountain or hiding behind statues, are ridiculed for their inanity and poor creature design.
The show also introduces numerous side plots, including corporate greed, secret missions, and hidden motives, which quickly become tangled and dilute the core narrative. It struggles to balance the horror, action, and philosophical motifs — resulting in a disjointed experience that’s neither frightening nor engaging.
