This problem is compounded by poor acting performances and a lack of chemistry or personality among the cast. Unlike the iconic crews of the Alien and Aliens films—who had distinct personalities and believable relationships—Alien Earth’s characters seem like token diversities, designed to check boxes rather than serve narrative purpose. Their relationships are flat, and attempts at character development, such as the hero’s motivation or the scientist’s authority, feel superficial.
