Part 8/12:
Several scenes seem deliberately designed as homage or parody, borrowing iconic elements from Alien—the spaceship crash, the alien creatures, the suspenseful corridors—but fail to execute any of it convincingly. Some scenes feel like poor imitations, like the sequence where a cyborg plans to encase an alien in a cocoon and walk out of a surrounding building, only to be caught and dismissed with the crude coprolitic remark: “Supplies.”
The alien designs are also a disappointment—resembling poorly rendered centipede-like or spider creatures rather than the terrifying xenomorphs of the original saga. The attempts at horror flair often come off as goofy or out of place, emphasizing the series’ failure to capture the tense, oppressive atmosphere that made Alien a genre-defining masterpiece.
