A Unique Take on Family and Loss
Sketch tells the story of Amber, a young girl grappling with the recent death of her mother. Isolated and unsupported, Amber struggles emotionally, especially as her behavior at school begins to become problematic. Her family’s attempt to help her involves encouraging her to express her feelings through her sketchbook, which becomes central to the story. The drawings she makes, initially quite negative, start to manifest as real monsters that terrorize her family and her small town.
