Many characters are characterized as one-dimensional or poorly developed. The antagonist Joe, or Ezekiel, is expected to have layers—a facade of a humble man hiding a sinister side. Instead, he's portrayed as a mere "stupid wimpy dude," with no depth or surprise when his character's true nature is revealed.
Furthermore, the ending leaves many characters unresolved or poorly explained. Zeke simply vanishes after a pivotal moment, with no explanation of his fate, and other characters' motivations remain unclear or inconsistent.
