While dinosaurs dominate the film visually, the CGI, in his view, was lackluster—detached, overused, and sometimes green-screened in obviously. The film's plot, he argued, was riddled with clichés and forced conveniences—characters get trapped and saved just in time, and kills or confrontations are euphemistically avoided to preserve family-friendly ratings. Despite the chaos, he acknowledged the film looked “nice” and took viewers to Malta for some memorable sequences, though these moments couldn’t rescue the overall disappointment.
