Part 4/9:
While it's appreciated that the film brings back original stars like Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, and Laura Dern—as well as seeing them aging and somewhat ragged—their roles are underused. The script fails to capitalize on their presence, leaving them mostly on the sidelines with little to do, which the reviewer finds frustrating. Despite their legendary status, the story doesn't give these actors meaningful moments, making their return feel hollow.
Wild and Disjointed Plot Elements
The review details a range of plot threads that never seem to mesh cohesively. These include:
Giant killer locusts threatening the world's food supply.
A girl, who is a clone, capable of curing diseases.
Investigations into a suspicious pharmaceutical company.
