Part 9/13:
As Wounded Wear grew into a $3 million organization, the emotional toll of supporting others began to take its toll on Jason. The constant fundraising, managing a nonprofit, and dealing with his own trauma led to burnout. He acknowledges mistakes made along the way—particularly underestimating the importance of professional help in managing organizational growth and mental health.
Following the loss of friends to suicide and the realization that psychological wounds are as critical as physical ones, Jason shifted focus to mental health advocacy. He became involved with the Concussion Legacy Foundation, emphasizing the necessity to understand, prevent, and treat traumatic brain injury (TBI) and PTSD in veterans and active service members.
