Science and philosophy both support this idea. Comfort zones, although tempting, tend to stifle motivation and growth. Disruptions—whether in the form of loss, failure, betrayal, or unexpected challenges—are often necessary wake-up calls. As Leonard Cohen famously said, tragedy contains an ironic truth: "cracks are the track tragedies." It is through these cracks that new light, new possibilities, and new perspectives emerge.
