In stark contrast to the satire, actual political developments reveal a deeply troubling landscape. The biased and arguably corrupt legal case against Donald Trump in New York is a prime example. The Attorney General, Letitia James, who campaigned openly to pursue Trump, has been accused of weaponizing the legal system for political revenge. She claimed Trump inflated property values to secure loans; however, as legal scholar Jonathan Turley pointed out, no damages were actually incurred—banking institutions understood the valuations, and the victims wanted more business with Trump.
