One critical reason for this preference is the sheer volume of available content. Unlike the days when network TV had a handful of shows per season, today's streaming platforms flood viewers with options, making it overwhelming to find quality programming. Consequently, many opt for classics they know and trust, such as Gunsmoke, MASH*, and NCIS, which still command large audiences.
