Recently, actress and actor Simu Liu publicly voiced his concerns over Hollywood's apparent regression in Asian representation on screen. Liu took to social media to criticize what he perceives as a backslide, highlighting that despite several successful Asian films such as Crazy Rich Asians, Everything Everywhere All at Once, The Farewell, Past Lives, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Asian representation remains underwhelming and often superficial.
