Another critical point centers on the dangers of stereotyping. Dressing as a specific individual or choosing exaggerated features to represent an entire group simplifies and distorts reality. For instance, someone might select a few exaggerated traits associated with a particular culture—like a large mustache or traditional clothing—and use them to portray a whole community in a mocking or disrespectful way.
This approach can reinforce negative stereotypes and diminish the richness of cultural diversity. The goal should be to celebrate cultures without reducing them to caricatures or costumes that strip away their depth.
