Part 2/10:
Adam Driver disclosed that shortly after The Rise of Skywalker, he and Steven Soderbergh pitched The Hunt for Ben Solo—a story imagining the return of the character after his apparent death. In the film, Ben Solo sacrifices himself for Rey, ending his arc. However, Driver and Soderbergh envisioned a narrative where he would be resurrected, a concept that Disney famously rejected. While Lucasfilm was open to the idea, Disney’s executives, including CEO Bob Iger, reportedly shut it down, citing doubts about the plausibility and direction of Ben Solo’s return.
