The Republican Race: A Circus of Distraction
The recent debate showcased a lineup of candidates suffering from sameness—described mockingly as “the dull guy, the other dull guy, the fat guy, the girl, the nice black guy,” and others who seem interchangeable. Only a few candidates initially gained traction after the debate by expressing opinions, but those bumps have since faded. Meanwhile, 2024’s Republican primary appears to have devolved into a battle between an assumed front-runner, who is presumed to be a convicted felon, and a “dead guy,” a reference to Joe Biden’s declining cognitive faculties or perhaps perceived moral death.
