Season 2 appears to double down on misguided storytelling. The series might include attempts to introduce characters that shouldn't logically be part of the timeline, such as young Gandalf and the White Wizards (the Barrow-wights), which are supposed to exist thousands of years after their traditional origins. There are also reports of new characters created solely to serve narrative purposes—like a female Elf Smith and a mysterious female character who presumably discourage the Rings’ creation, adding layers of political and gender-based storytelling that seem unnecessary and forced.
