A Platform in Damage Control Mode
Amazon’s efforts seem to be focused on damage control. The season 2 trailer, laden with battle scenes and action sequences, is clearly an attempt to rekindle interest. However, the audience’s response suggests that hope is dwindling; fans who were already disillusioned with season 1 appear increasingly uninterested in what’s to come.
The Future Looks Bleaker
Despite internal discussions at Amazon about trying to "save" the series, the damage appears already inflicted. The combination of poor storytelling choices, disrespected source material, and alienated fans indicates that season 2 is unlikely to reverse the downward trend. Instead, it risks becoming just as much of a disaster as its predecessor.
