He expressed appreciation for the idea of creating a film purely for enjoyment without political overtones. Chung clarified that references to climate change would be out of place; he argued that the complexities and ongoing debates about global warming and tornado causation aren’t suited to a straightforward disaster movie aimed at broad audiences.
