When The Acolyte finally premiered, it confirmed many fans' worst fears. Beyond the predictable preaching, the series was universally panned, with critics citing poor writing, incoherent storytelling, weak character development, and nonsensical motivations that shifted unpredictably episode to episode. It has arguably become the worst Star Wars project ever released, even by a very forgiving standard, failing to meet even the lowest expectations.
