Fans were quick to spot that this character appeared in The Acolyte and was depicted as a young Jedi—yet this creates a glaring inconsistency with established canon.
In the Star Wars timeline, The Acolyte is set over 130 years before the Battle of Yavin (BBY). Based on the lore, Kiat Mundi’s birth year is 93 BBY, meaning he shouldn’t even be alive during this period. His appearance as a young Jedi conflicts directly with the established timeline, raising questions about who authorized this canon-breaking decision.
