It is important to understand why fans react so strongly. True fans care deeply about the franchise because they grew up with it, invested emotionally in its characters, themes, and universe. When they perceive that the franchise is being sacrificed for agendas, they respond passionately—sometimes with criticism that can appear harsh but stems from care.
In this context, criticisms are often mischaracterized as hate, which stifles genuine dialogue and obscures legitimate grievances. The reliance on labels like "toxic" differs from actual engagement with fans’ concerns about Star Wars losing its sense of wonder and storytelling integrity.
