Part 2/16:
Despite Shenzhen’s reputation as a hub of innovation and opportunity, the marriage rates among women over 30 are plummeting. Many women, even those divorced or over 35, find themselves at a disadvantage, despite their high qualifications, stable careers, and independence. Men, on the other hand, seem to be increasingly selective, often preferring younger women with more traditional attractiveness or qualities. As a result, many highly capable women struggle to find suitable partners, leading to a crisis of "leftover women" — a term increasingly used in China to describe unattached women past their prime marrying age.
