India Willoughby apparently called law enforcement to report Rowling for a supposed hate crime—misgendering her. A viral video from a UK-based outlet shows Willoughby stating that she reported Rowling for transphobia, claiming that calling a trans woman "a man" is a protected characteristic under UK law and, therefore, constitutes a hate crime.
