Part 2/10:
In an attempt to recover some losses, Disney initially shifted many of its Pixar-produced films to streaming platforms during the COVID-19 pandemic. These decisions caused a decline in theatrical revenue, which Disney now seeks to reverse by bringing some of these "lost" titles back into theaters. Last month, Disney announced it would theatrically release three Pixar movies that had previously only been shown on streaming services, including the much-anticipated film Soul. The move was positioned as a way to recoup box office revenue while theaters were still recovering from the pandemic’s financial blowback.
