'Echo' was marketed as Marvel's first TV-MA series, suggesting a mature, edgy overhaul from previous MCU offerings. However, it falls short of expectations, with violence and themes comparable to many other Marvel projects. The most notable violent moment—a headshot—was teased in trailers but is minimal in the actual series.
Fans were also eager to see what the show would bring in terms of cameos and action sequences. Notably, Daredevil, who was heavily promoted as a significant character, is featured for only 98 seconds and in a lackluster fight scene that fails to impress. This brevity and underwhelming action suggest Marvel's marketing was overhyped, offering little of the promised fan service.
