The marketing and recent interviews emphasize one key point: Marvel’s primary tactic is to attract viewers through a series of cameos and connections rather than the show's core narrative. The studios hope that referencing popular characters such as Daredevil, Kingpin, and other MCU staples will compensate for the show’s lack of compelling standalone content.
However, this approach seems misguided. There is little evidence that audiences are interested in a character they never asked for—especially when the series’ central narrative appears to be thin and convoluted. Reports indicate that no widespread fan demand existed for an Echo solo series, and that the entire project appears to be a forced effort to push diversity and inclusion agendas at the expense of good storytelling.
