Critics and fans have pointed out that Aquaman 2 is a “flop,” but the numbers tell a different story. It’s estimated that the film needs around $600 million worldwide to break even, considering a production budget of about $200 million plus marketing costs. Currently, with around $250 million grossed, it is unlikely to recoup its expenditures, classifying it as a commercial failure. Nonetheless, compared to The Marvels, it appears to be the more successful sequel thus far.
