The original Aquaman (2018) was a surprise hit, grossing over $80 million during its five-day opening in over 70 markets. However, Aquaman 2 is a different story. With a production budget estimated at over $150 million (not including marketing), the film grossed just $108 million globally over five days. This five-day total is significantly weaker than its predecessor and is on par with other underwhelming superhero movies like The Marvels and The Flash.
