Blunders and Misstatements by Star Wars Talent
Perhaps most damaging are the numerous factual inaccuracies and misguided comments made during interviews. Star Wars actors, including Charlie Bennett, claimed that Anakin Skywalker blew up the Death Star, a factual error obvious even to casual fans, who know Luke Skywalker was the one responsible. Bennett’s repeated misstatements, like claiming Anakin's role in the Death Star attack, have been widely mocked.
This isn’t an isolated incident. Other interviews featured misstatements that suggested a lack of basic knowledge of the franchise’s lore. The perplexity is compounded by how often these mistakes went unchecked (or uncorrected), raising questions about the engagement of the creative team with their own material.
