The initial trailer, especially the final one, included scenes and dialogue featuring Thanos—footage that had no direct relevance to the actual story of The Marvels. Fans and observers quickly pointed out that Disney appeared to be deliberately misleading audiences to generate excitement. The trailer's inclusion of Thanos and other characters from previous phases created false expectations that this movie would continue or conclude Thanos's story.
However, once the film arrived, it was clear that these teasers had nothing to do with the narrative—serving more as a propaganda effort to draw audiences in based on nostalgia rather than substance. Notably, the film focused solely on its own phase five storyline, with no real connection to Thanos or the Infinity Saga.
