In contrast, the sequel seems to be following a downward spiral. Even though the first film’s international success helped it reach such heights, Aquaman 2 appears destined for a much softer run. In fact, with an opening forecast below Shazam! Fury of the Gods and even Black Adam, the second installment may end up underperforming previous expectations. The concern is heightened by the fact that Black Adam likewise underwhelmed, making less than $400 million globally despite a hefty budget.
