The struggles aren’t limited to breweries. Other local operators, including Scotty Godino, owner of multiple sports bar locations, have also faced closures due to inflation, increased licensing fees, and stiff competition. Since March, Godino has had to shut down three of his four locations, focusing solely on maintaining his Centennial Hills venue. He explained that rental costs—ranging from $18,000 to $22,000 a month—along with fees for gaming, alcohol, and food licenses, are making it increasingly difficult to sustain multiple outlets.
