Unfortunately, the series was met with overwhelming disappointment. It boasted some of the lowest viewership numbers on Disney+, and critically, viewers and fans alike panned its execution. Critics lambasted the writing as embarrassingly bad, and the plot twists felt disconnected and nonsensical. Notably, Amelia Clarke’s character was granted every superpower in the MCU for no logical reason, an ill-conceived decision that drew widespread ridicule.
The story choices—such as killing off key characters, including Maria Hill—along with the portrayal of familiar figures like James Rhodes (War Machine), who was revealed to be a Skrull in "Captain America: Civil War," shattered previously established character arcs. These moves did more harm than good, eroding viewer trust and loyalty.
