The Future of Disney: Can It Recover?
Many argue that it’s too late for Disney to reclaim its previous status. The damage inflicted on its brand credibility, coupled with declining profits and increased activism-driven controversies, suggests a path of prolonged decline unless radical change occurs.
Even when Disney attempts to downplay or hide certain initiatives—possibly to reduce public outrage—the cat is essentially out of the bag. The popular perception now is that Disney's efforts to "quiet the noise" are merely superficial lip service. Previous leadership changes, such as the ousting of Bob Chapek and the appointment of Iger, have only reflected this ongoing internal struggle.
