In recent years, Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) have moved from conceptual discussions into active implementation across the globe. According to a report by the Geoeconomic Center at the Atlantic Council, approximately 119 out of 197 countries worldwide are at various stages of developing or deploying CBDCs. While Africa remains relatively behind the curve, many nations in Asia, Europe, and the Americas are making aggressive strides towards digital currency adoption.
