In addition to corporate layoffs, Disney is now making strategic moves to consolidate its global footprint, most notably at Lucasfilm. Recently, Lucasfilm announced the closure of its Singapore VFX and animation studio—an operation with over 15 years of history, renowned for working on projects like the Clone Wars series and other Star Wars-related content. Around 300 employees, including animators and designers, are being laid off as part of this decision.
