Part 7/13:
Tesla’s ability to produce vehicles at remarkable speeds—roughly one every 30 seconds—underscores how quickly they can scale their robo-taxi fleet if demand materializes. As these vehicles become fully autonomous, regulatory approval will be critical. Current plans suggest that by early 2024, version 14.3 will enable near-complete scaling, with the necessary safety certifications to operate at large scale.
Once the threshold of around 40,000 autonomous vehicles is crossed, Tesla can shift from niche deployment to mass-market reality. This would not only replace a significant fraction of ride-sharing vehicles but also potentially transform the entire transportation infrastructure, replacing traditional cars, taxis, and even some public transit systems.
