However, the design currently lacks full control over all movements; for example, some tendons responsible for extension are passive, and the hand relies on ligaments for return, which may limit precision. Elon Musk has hinted that future iterations (possibly Gen 3) will include more actuators to enhance dexterity, including active extensors and more tendon control.
