The news broke that Warner Brothers is pivoting towards a new direction, signaling the end of the existing DC extended universe as many knew it. Henry Cavill, who had become the face of Superman in recent years, is no longer part of the plans. Officially, Cavill’s Superman has been recast or sidelined, fueling speculation about a fresh start with new actors and new story directions.
One of the immediate consequences was the cancellation of Wonder Woman 3 featuring Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins. It was widely assumed that with the shift in leadership, the studio would also move away from Gadot’s Wonder Woman to make room for new portrayals of key characters.
