To counteract this trend, a fundamental shift in political discourse is necessary. Young people need to be recognized as capable agents of change rather than passive recipients of political intervention. Empowering them involves providing honest assessments of challenges, encouraging active participation in community and societal solutions, and cultivating a sense of purpose that is rooted in individual and collective agency. Only then can the cycle of disillusionment be broken, and young men, in particular, can be guided toward constructive engagement rather than destructive anger.
