Part 3/11:
Lobe explained that these emissions could be caused by the sublimation of ice from the object’s surface as it faces the Sun, producing puffs of gas and dust. These releases create scattering effects visible in sunlight, leading to the pulsations observed. When the side of the object faces away from the Sun, it cools and remains inert, halting emissions until the rotation turns it back towards the star.
Natural or Artificial? The Debate Heats Up
The periodic "heartbeat" has sparked speculation beyond natural explanations. Some scientists propose that if Three-Eye Atlas were a man-made object—say, an alien spacecraft—the 16-hour cycle could represent internal technological activity, perhaps a cycle of thrusters or other mechanisms used for navigation or propulsion.
