However, the new Magic: The Gathering artwork presents Aragorn as Black, with promotional material featuring a character named "Anderill, Flame of the West," depicted with darker skin. Fans and purists quickly expressed their displeasure, pointing out that this stark deviation from Tolkien’s descriptions is a blatant example of race swapping driven more by ideological motives than storytelling fidelity.
