Increased Security Measures
In the wake of this attack, Presidential orders led to an increase in military personnel presence. The Secretary of the Army, upon the President’s directive, is adding an additional 500 National Guardsmen to the already substantial security force in Washington, D.C. This move is intended to bolster efforts to keep the capital safe, maintain order, and prevent further acts of violence.
