Cage’s cameo is particularly significant due to his long-standing fan connection to Superman. Although he famously starred as Superman in Tim Burton’s unreleased Superman Lives project from the late 1990s, those plans were canceled before shooting. Despite this, Cage’s passion for the character has persisted, with fans knowing him for his deep love of Superman—so much so, that he even named his son Kal-El, referencing Superman’s Kryptonian name.
