Internationally, the film has contributed notably to its overall success. It earned roughly $45 million in China, a crucial market for the MCU. This is especially significant because Thor: Love and Thunder did not have a Chinese release, making Guardians' Chinese numbers a key differentiator.
In total, the film's global haul stands at around $520 million, and interestingly, it is tracking ahead of Thor: Love and Thunder at this point in time worldwide. Thor 11 Thunder reached approximately $750-760 million globally, so Guardians still has a way to go to hit that mark, but the signals are promising.
