During his Cannes appearance, Depp openly addressed his relationship with Hollywood and the media that has surrounded him for years. When asked whether he still feels boycotted by Hollywood—a question reminiscent of comments he made in 2021—Depp responded with a pointed remark:
"Did I feel boycotted? Well, you'd have to not have a pulse to feel that at that point. It was quite a weird joke."
