One notable example of deliberate manipulation involves digital replication to inflate crowd scenes. Evidence shows that what appears to be a massive gathering is actually composed of only about 20 or so real people, with the rest digitally duplicated or mirrored to give an illusion of scale. Considering the show’s enormous budget, hiring more extras wouldn’t have been unreasonable, yet the production resorted to cheap digital tricks—revealing a lack of attention to detail and budget mismanagement.
