Part 6/10:
The series’ trailer indicates that Jennifer’s journey will be depicted as more straightforward, with her adjusting quickly to her abilities, contrasting the more arduous path typically associated with new superheroes. This portrayal has led many to see it as emblematic of the MCU’s tendency to simplify heroics and gloss over the struggle often depicted in the source material.
Changes in Origin and Narrative
One of the more contentious alterations is the change in She-Hulk’s origin story. In the comics, Jennifer becomes She-Hulk after a car accident, where Bruce Banner’s blood is used in an emergency transfusion, inadvertently transforming her into a Hulk-like being. This was a consequence of Banner’s own attempt to save her life, making him partly responsible for her transformation.
